WHAT WILL I LEARN?

POSES

Unlock the secrets behind creating artful imagery of our furry friends while maximising client sales through expert posing techniques.  Belinda will demonstrate a live photo shoot in which participants will delve into Belinda’s go-to poses, learning how to capture the essence of each pet's personality to create extraordinary works of art that convert to sales every time.

Forget the hassle of chasing tail or coaxing a head tilt of your models—Belinda's got you covered with her tried-and-true posing guide. Learn how to orchestrate each pose flawlessly, ensuring that every click of the shutter translates into delighted clients and money in your pocket.

We will cover what equipment Belinda prefers to use and why, lighting techniques for different backgrounds and fur colours, working safely in the studio and training techniques to get the best out of your subjects.

PIXELS

Tailored specifically for studio settings, this part of the workshop delves into the intricate world of post-processing techniques, focusing on the skills required to turn an ordinary pet portrait into a stunning work of art.

During this workshop you will -

  • Learn how to streamline your workflow and achieve consistent, polished results with ease, optimising your time behind the lens.

  • Delve deeper into the intricacies of masking as Belinda demonstrates how to use various tools to separate your subject from your background allowing for more refined edits to both your subject and setting. Once we have mastered this Belinda will then demonstrate her favourite techniques to smooth out and clean up drool and fur ridden backdrops. Trust me you will never sit there healing and cloning out fur again!

  • Then we will look at refining the subject using the art of dodging and burning and colour correction as well as gaining valuable insights into techniques tailored specifically for different coloured dog fur. This will allow attendees to add depth and dimension to their portraits, ensuring that their subjects truly command attention.

  • Ever wondered what all the blending modes mean? This will be covered and then used practically to show you how you can incorporate textures and overlays to elevate backdrop aesthetics to a luxurious standard.

  • Additionally, Belinda will guide participants through the effective use of the crop tool and geometry function, empowering them to craft compositions that are both visually striking and emotionally resonant.

Whether you're a seasoned pet photographer looking to refine your editing skills or a novice eager to unlock the secrets of Photoshop, Belinda promises to provide practical insights and actionable tips. Join us as we embark on a journey to unleash the full potential of studio pet photography through the magic of Photoshop.

PAWS

Of course there will be paws! Several different models will join us on day 1 ready to strut their stuff for you to build your portfolio. Using different backdrops, props and poses, participants will have the chance to build their portfolios ready to add to their websites, use for marketing or to create studio samples.

PROFIT

Belinda will guide attendees through transforming their pet portraits into captivating wall art arrangements and storyboards that practically sell themselves. Learn how to curate collections that tell a compelling narrative, drawing clients not only to individual images but also inspiring them to invest in larger, cohesive pieces for their homes.

With Belinda's expert guidance, discover the secrets to creating gallery-worthy displays that showcase your pet photography as stunning works of art. Clients will be eager to adorn their walls with their own personalised artwork that celebrate the boundless joy and love shared between them and their furry companions.

Belinda will then reveal the secret to creating a relaxed sales room where you already know what your client is going to purchase. Showing you her full process in educating her clients from consultation to artwork delivery you will leave this workshop confident in your client journey and ready to deliver a five star experience.

To finish up this packed workshop there will be a presentation on Belinda’s favourite subject - Marketing!
